J Touch to install touch panel automatic line
Taiwan – J Touch Corp. will install an automatic touch panel production line in March this year. The proposed monthly
capacity is 1.5 million touch panels that have a width range of 2- to 5-inch width. Current capacity is 500,000 units.
General Manager Yu-Chou Yeh, stated, "We are now running four shifts a day in order to meet our customers' demand.
In December 2003, we received orders for eight million touch panels designed for mobile phones.
I assume this year we will be able to ship a total of 13 million mobile phone touch panels using our new automatic production line."
The company also makes 4-wire and 8-wire analog- and digital-type touch panels.
Its 2-inch to 5-inch touch panels are used in mobile phones and PDAs.
Other models are designed for copying machines, tablet PCs and GPSs of automobiles and DVD LCD displays.
